Hello, and welcome back, hope you tuned in yesterday for our eighteenth black-owned business! If you are new here, grab a seat and check out what we are doing this month! Grab some snacks and get to reading.

For Black History Month, Eta Sigma Delta Inc will be highlighting some of our black-owned businesses on the grid for the second year. These business leaders have been seen working very hard at what they do and showing everyone that they can and will do it. We want to recognize them for their hard work and dedication to their crafts.

These businesses have made a positive impact on the community rather it was by recognizing their dedicated customers, giving out group gifts, joining into conversations with their customers on Facebook, or just by giving great customer service. We want to say thank you for letting us into your world and we commend you for your hard work and focus.

Here is what our nineteenth business owner had to say...

Our nineteenth business is Once Upon A Time Family Center

About the Business

We are a full-service family center that offers a strong RP experience for the families of SL we offer several services and strive to provide a learning and family forward atmosphere.

About the owner, Missyluve...

"I have been on the grid for 10 years and I have tried to always be a positive influence on the grid, also I am co-owner of an event planning company called SMR Events."

Once Upon A Time Family Center has been in business since 2019 and will continue for years to come.

We asked Missy a couple of questions and here is what she had to say...

Do you find it is harder for you to be a black-owned business specifically if a lot of what you design, creative, or put together caters more to black people?

- "Sometimes it seems hard because a lot of black owners get little support from the black community as a whole, but I cater to all walks of life. The center is for the whole family, and we welcome all to the sim."

What makes doing what you do rewarding for you?

- "Well there are so many parents that have so much love to give on the grid and when they bring their little one to the center, I feel so proud and happy to be a part of their SL experience. I love the littles of SL and Once Upon A Time is my baby, and it makes me happy when people say that like the time that they spend here."

What advice can you give to other black entrepreneurs trying to start their SL business?

- "Stay strong in your vision and strive to provide great service no matter the volume you have. Word of mouth can make or break you, so stay with it and strive to build it better and stronger every day"

What would you like to say to all of your supporters and customers?

- "Thank you for shoutouts and the sharing of my posts coming to events and above all else, I want to thank my lovely parents that entrust their little ones to me and my staff. Thank you ever so much and we hope to continue providing excellent care to the kids of SL. ♥"

The Flawless Sapphires of Eta Sigma Delta would like to thank you Missy for taking time out of your busy day to give us a look inside your life.

Please support this business owner and continue to show love to our black-owned businesses in Second Life.

Thank you for reading!
