𝕄𝕚𝕟𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕄𝕪 𝔹𝕝𝕒𝕔𝕜-𝕆𝕨𝕟𝕖𝕕 𝔹𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 ℝ𝕖𝕔𝕠𝕘𝕟𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 - ℝ𝕠𝕤𝕒𝕣𝕪

Hello, and welcome back, hope you tuned in yesterday for our twelfth black-owned business! If you are new here, grab a seat and check out what we are doing this month! Grab some snacks and get to reading.

For Black History Month, Eta Sigma Delta Inc will be highlighting some of our black-owned businesses on the grid for the second year. These business leaders have been seen working very hard at what they do and showing everyone that they can and will do it. We want to recognize them for their hard work and dedication to their crafts.

These businesses have made a positive impact on the community rather it was by recognizing their dedicated customers, giving out group gifts, joining into conversations with their customers on Facebook, or just by giving great customer service. We want to say thank you for letting us into your world and we commend you for your hard work and focus.

Here is what our thirteenth business owner had to say...

Our thirteenth business is Rosary

Rosary is a hot store that sells female clothing/accessories and nail brand.

About the owner, Shai Gorjes...

"I'm a black woman from Chicago and I've been creating on SL since 2012. I'm a bit of a workaholic, I'm always doing something work-related. I taught myself how to mesh, also have taught others (not teaching anymore). I can be quiet and reserved but always goofing around and joking with my close family/friends. "

Rosary has been in business for 4 years and will continue for many more years to come.

We asked Shai a couple of questions and here is what she had to say...

Do you find it is harder for you to be a black-owned business specifically if a lot of what you design, creative, or put together caters more to black people?

- "Yes, just like in real life, black creators have to work twice as hard to get half of the opportunities. When I am choosing what I make, I focus on what I like and if other people will like it too."

What makes doing what you do rewarding for you?

- "Seeing people in my creations will always be a humbling and rewarding experience for me."

Typically how long does it take you to get 1 item out?

"Anywhere from 2-5 days."

What advice can you give to other black entrepreneurs trying to start their SL business?

- "Focus on quality, stay consistent, and know that it won't happen overnight but keep at it and you'll get to where you want to be."

What would you like to say to all of your supporters and customers?

- "I would like to say thank you so much for the support. From buying my products, sharing ads, and suggesting my store to others. I am DEEPLY thankful and grateful to be a part of this community. Your support encourages me to do more and be better, creatively and as a person. Thank you.♥"

The Flawless Sapphires of Eta Sigma Delta would like to thank you Shai for taking time out of your busy day to give us a look inside your life.

Please support this business owner and continue to show love to our black-owned businesses in Second Life.
