Welcome Back! Glad to see that you are still with us and you was here for our thirteenth black owned business yesterday! If you are new here, grab a seat and check out what we are doing this month and don't forget to go back to the other blogs so you can play catch up! We hope you are enjoying learning about these businesses and their owners as much as we are. πŸ˜€

For Black History Month, Eta Sigma Delta Inc is highlighting some of our black owned businesses on the grid. These business leaders have been seen working very hard at what they do and showing everyone that they can and will do it. We want to recognize them for their hard work and dedication to their crafts.

These businesses have made a positive impact to the community rather it was by recognizing their dedicated customers, giving out group gifts, joining into conversations with their customers on Facebook or just by giving great customer service. We want to say thank you for letting us into your world and we commend you for your hard work and focus.

Here is what our fourteenth business owner had to say....

Our fourteenth  business is Synnergy

Synnergy is a business that does Poses & Backdrops

About the owner, Ric Dwyer-Applewhyte

"I've been in SL almost 10 years and in that span of time, I've always found myself doing something creative here. I started off building homes (pre-mesh), became a photographer and, now I believe I have the best of both worlds in creating backdrops and poses."

Synnerygy has been in business for 1 year.

We asked Ric a couple of questions and here is what he had to say...

Do you find it is harder for you being a black owned business and specifically if a lot of what you design, creative or put together caters more to black people?

- "No, I pride myself in creating a little bit of something for everyone."

What makes doing what you do rewarding for you?

- "When I see how much enjoyment others get out of using my products."

Typically how long does it take you to get 1 item out?

"It really depends on the event and the event's theme."

What advice can you give to other black entrepreneurs trying to start their SL business?

- "Never think you can't be successful here or that the market is too oversaturated with something. YOU bring a certain uniqueness to your own brand that no one else has. If you fail at something, don't be discouraged. Use it as momentum to keep going and to keep striving for greatness."

What would you like to say to all of your supporters and customers?

- "I never thought I would get to a point here where people would say, "Hey I know that store and I like their stuff" So, I'd like to say thank you. You make me feel blessed and I'm grateful to each of my customers because you guys keep me going and wanting to create more content for you. "

The Flawless Sapphires of Eta Sigma Delta would like to thank you Ric for taking time out of your busy day to give us a look inside your life.

Please support this handsome young man and continue to show love to our black owned businesses in Second Life.
