Eta Sigma Delta's Sapphire of The Month (February) ~ Ms. Christy Sparrowhawk M.D. ~ Take a look into her life

Eta Sigma Delta's Sapphire of the Month

Eta Sigma Delta’s Sapphire (Sister) of the Month goes to Christy Sparrowhawk M.D. aka Big Sister Sweet N Sassy. Not only is it a honor for me to have the privilege to interview her as a sister but, I was also her mentor during the pledge process. Christy started off in ESD and once she became comfortable and confident in what she could achieved, she hit the ground running! She wanted her hand in a little of everything and she was patient for her turn to rank up which also happened for her last month.

On March 3, 2021 Christy and I sat down at my house and had a nice and fun chat. Check it out...

Cassie: Hello, Hello, Hello, Ms. Christy! Thank you for coming to have a chat with me today.

Christy: Hey sis Cassie, my pleasure, happy to be here.

Cassie: Let's start off with why did you decide to pledge Eta Sigma Delta?

Christy: I have been on the grid for 10 years, and I've always looked for a sorority to join, because I never got the experience in real life. I wanted to join a true sisterhood and be with women who uplift one another, love each other, and stand by each other thick and thin. When I had my interview with ESD, I just felt it was fate.

Cassie: How have your experience been so far?

Christy: With any sisterhood comes good times, bad times, stressful times, but then there's the moments we have that I would trade a million dollars for, and we have more of those moments than the rest. My experience has been amazing for the past 2 years, and I'm looking forward to many more.

Cassie: That's great and yes definitely many more. What is your current rank in ESD? Do you enjoy your new rank?

Christy: Right now, I am Marchioness and Pledge Mistress and I enjoy it very much. However I am looking forward to putting myself out there and ranking up in the near future.

Cassie: Me personally, I am very proud of you. I was your mentor during the pledge process and you have made me very proud that you have come so far. You came out the gate running and trying to get your hand in what you could, reaching different heights and becoming comfortable with your greatness because honey, you are GREAT! We strive for all of our sisters to reach their goals and higher points in their second lives. What motivates you to give all that you give into the sorority?

Christy: Thank you so much sis. I love our purpose, I love the bond we have with each other and our willingness to do good for others and the people who surround us. We have always been about quality, not quantity. We each have something we all bring to the table, and each of us strives to be better every day. Who wouldn't have motivation with a sisterhood like that?

Cassie: Exactly! I love that and every bit of it is true. What would you say is the most rewarding for being one of the heads of the whole pledge process?

Christy: The most rewarding thing about being a pledge master, is you watch these women come in, and you watch them grow and learn. Its almost like watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. When they are polished and shined, you think to yourself, "Oh wow, I helped with that" It makes you smile.

Cassie laughs

Cassie: That is a great way to put it and is exactly how it is. You are the sister of the month, how exactly did you feel when you learned that you were named sister of the month?

Christy: I was honored to be honest. I've had a lot of stuff going on in real life so when I came back. I said to myself, I am going to make a difference in second life. I want to help and motivate women, so that's exactly what I did. I got involved in helping the sorority with anything I could, but never imagined I would be named sister of the month again. I received it last year as well, so it was a shock, but I am honored

Cassie: awwwww that is sweet. Twice Sapphire of the month, that is a record. Keep up the great work.

Christy smiles

Cassie: Do you do other things outside of ESD, for instance do you have a family or work elsewhere?

Christy: Yes I have 5 beautiful children, I have two wonderful parents, wonderful siblings, a boyfriend who is so amazing and supportive, my sorority sisters and a best friend who has my back through any and everything. I am a OBGYN for the Family Luv Medical Center. I am richly blessed!

Cassie: That is wonderful. Thank you for your time to come and sit with me for this interview. I had a great time with you as I always do. And if every knew how many retakes we did through all the laughing lol.

And there you have it! Congrats again I hope you enjoyed looking in the life of one of our sisters.

Signing off
